    Thank You for your support

    Welcome

    Hello! And welcome to our website. I'm delighted you came here to get information about my candidacy and the 38th AD. While you're here, please enjoy a variety of web links you can use to improve the quality of life for you, your family and friends. I've included a very important site, Librarians Internet Index www.lii.org , a site initially begun with funding from the State Library & Library of California Board, of which I've been a member for the past 5+ years, a website whose content is carefully checked by professional librarians, sure to offer you accurate and informative information.

    This is the best chance we've ever had for the Democrats to represent the 38th. With my 3 Decades of Work Experience I'm ready to offer you excellent service and diligent assistance to help you receive benefits back from your hard earned tax dollars. We'll show you in the following pages, what distinguishes me from my competitors. There is a World of Difference between me and the other candidates: A World of Difference in "Experience, Integrity, Commitment and Passion."

    "Sacramento Needs A Mediator" and with 25+ years of professional mediation experience I am the person for this job, able to bring all parties to the table and calmly, respectfully, discuss issues, hour after hour till we come to a consensus, with which we can push to pass legislation in your best interest.

    Please, let's work together, build consensus and leave this place better for our children then it was when we found it! This Time It's Our Turn. Please join with me and together we can make great things happen!

    Please vote for me, Jane Lowenthal on June 6th!

    Thanks so much & Best wishes, Jane

    Issues

  1. #1 PRIORITY: Use my mediation skills to end the fiscal and legislative gridlock.
    • Bring everyone to the table and build consensus
    • Build win-win agreements that serve the public, not special interests
    • Move important issues through the legislature
    • My record shows I am about fighting for issues, not fighting people.
    • 25 year record of making things happen
  2. Freeway Gridlock and Infrastructure
    • Use creative ideas from University and Corporate experts for local benefit.
    • Freeways, street improvements, levee protections,
    • Local zoning issues and
    • Eminent domain control; "Opposes any government action using eminent domain to take property for a project which is not for public use"
  3. Education and Schools
    • Put a spotlight on our Schools
    • Teachers including library media teachers;
    • Vocational apprenticeships;
    • Adult Education for lifetime learning.
    • Assistance for our Foster Kids.
    • Improved graduation rates; (50% grad rate in LAUSD.)
  4. More business to the 38th
    • Promote Small Business incubators;
    • Prevent "run away film production."
